Spiritcare

SpiritCare Ministry to Seniors meets the spiritual and emotional needs of the elderly living in 46 long-term care centers and hospitals primarily in Alameda, San Mateo and santa Clara counties.  The ministry coordinates and trains volunteers to offer monthly Christian worship services, Bible studies, one-to-one visitations, counseling, and other enriching experiences for these seniors who long for friendship and spiritul encourangement.

Based in Burlingame, SpiritCare involves churches, volunteers and donors from a wide variety of faiths and welcomes volunteers of all ages.  SpiritCare holds a two-hour new volunteer orientation, as well as perdiodic seminars and worskshops, to prepare and sensitize individuals to the special needs of the elderly.  If you are able t give one or two hours a month, you can be a SpiritCare volunteer and brighten a lonely senior's day.
